This textbook is an example of a non-interactive Jupyter notebook (JN). Jupyter Notebooks don’t necessarily need to contain interactive widgets. The CLI nbinteract can export all types of (Python-based) notebooks to an (HTML) textbooks.

Still, complex but well-annotated ones can provide insight for all readers. Graphic representations of the results clearly show the results of mathematical calculations and allow (interested) laypeople to gain a basic understanding.
